Frequently Asked Questions About Auto Glass Safety

Q: Is there a difference between repair and replacing auto glass?
A: Yes. Depending on the size and nature of the crack or chip, technicians will be able to determine if the existing windshield can be repaired or if the windshield will need to be replaced to maintain the integrity of the glass. Our replacement technicians follow strict standards and procedures to ensure that every windshield is replaced properly and safely.
Q: Can I drive the car right away?
A: No. This goes for all auto glass replacement companies. There is no adhesive available that allows you drive away the moment the installer is finished. The cure time for your windshield or backglass can be anywhere between one hour and a day - depending on the weather and type of urethane used. Ask your installer for specific cure times.
Q: Does Auto Glass R Us work with my insurance agency to process my claim?
A: Absolutely. At Auto Glass R Us, we want our customers to feel comfortable and secure. We have developed strong relationships with virtually all local, regional and national insurance companies and are happy to handle the entire insurance claim process for our customers. Or, if preferred, the claim can be handled directly by customers with their insurance company.
Q: How do I know your installers are qualified?
A: Your auto glass installation technichian must understand the ins and outs of auto glass replacement. They must be familiar with the proper tools and methods of removal, preperation of the pinch weld, and the different adhesives available that will provide the strength to hold the windshield in your vehicle. They must also understand the proper methods to prevent leakage and/or rust around the pinch weld where the windshield will bond to the automobile. You can rest assured that your new windshield will be properly installed and your automobile will be restored to the factory specifications or better.
Q: What kind of glass does be installed in my car use when performing replacements?
A: We are committed to quality and safety. We only use Department of Transportation-certified glass for each installation.
Q: Does Auto Glass R Us only fix windshields?
A: While Dinamic has been replacing auto glass windshields for many years, we also replace the back glass and side window glass in automobiles, vans, classic cars and trucks. Additionally, Auto Glass R Us also repairs and replaces power windows.
Q: Will you vacuum up the broken glass?
A: Absolutely! Don't touch that mess and risk getting cut. We'll vacuum up all your broken glass when we come out to do the job.
Q: What if I don't have full glass coverage?
A: If customers don't have full glass coverage, or if there is a deductible, the customer may need to pay a portion of the replacement or repair cost at a competitive price.
